Going the extra mile

I absolutely love reading! From classics to new releases my bookshelves have a bit of everything. I like to do my research on the writer of whatever book or movie i’m enjoying. If I really love the author I don’t have to know a thing about the novel i’ll buy it in a heartbeat. But there is one thing that really makes an author stand out for me. Its all about how they connect to there readers. There’s one authors that comes to mind right away. Her name is Geanna Culbertson. I love her “Crisanta Knight” series (which you can buy here: https://amzn.to/3M5286M) and my favorite being her novel “Heaven’t You Heard” a fascinating tale based on guardian angels (https://amzn.to/3W8aW0k). But I might have never picked up book if it wasn’t for an important marketing strategy. Last summer I was attending the L.A book festival were I met Ms. Culbertson. She not only signed my copy, let me get a picture with her, but also spent quite a bit of time talking to me about writing. Beacuse I know felt a connection to her I was more than happy to start on her book series (and an nine book set is no small commitment). When I got home I subscribed to her newsletter and left dazzeling book reviews for her. It all stemmed from the time and effort she took to connect with me. So young authors out there use this as a reminder to find new ways to connect with your audience. Going that extra mile can really pay of. And to my fellow book enthusiast get to know the others of those books you o so love. Authors can be just as interesting as there characters
